Choose one of the following activities instead of one book report.

1. Make a book jacket. Include the title, author, and a scene from the
book on the outside. One the inside flap write a summary of the book
without revealing the entire story. On the other inside flap write a
biographical sketch of the author.

2. Make a diorama of your book. Include the title and author in your
design.

3. Write a letter to the author, telling how enjoyable the book was to you.
Include your favorite part of the story.

4. Make a poster similar to a movie poster advertising the book.

5. Write a business letter to a librarian stating why the book should be
purchased.

6. Keep a diary for a character from the book.

7. Make a comic strip telling the story. It should be at least ten panels.

8. Make a mobile showing scenes about the story.
