Supplies: The following is a list of suggested school supplies. I 
have indicated whether or not the supplies should remain at home or 
be brought to school. Supplies brought to school are often shared by 
the table groups.

•Paperback dictionary (home)
•Paperback thesaurus (home)
•2-inch 3-ring binder – not the fancy Trapper Keeper kind. If 
possible, the ones with the plastic cover into which a paper can be 
inserted are preferred. This notebook will stay in the classroom and 
will be used to house your portfolio and work in progress. (school)
•1 package clear page protectors (school)
•2 packages tabbed dividers (school)
•1 package white, lined 3x5 index cards (school)
•1 fine-tip sharpie marker (school)
•1 zippered pencil case with grommets to fit inside the three-
ring binder (school)
•1 non-spiral composition book (school)
•OPTIONAL: portable USB drive for computer-generated 
projects. Look for sales. These are now sometimes available for less 
than $10. I prefer the kind that have a ring or lanyard so that it 
can be attached inside a backpack or worn around the neck.
