1) Paperback dictionary 
2) Paperback thesaurus 

FOR SCHOOL:
1) TWO-INCH 3-ring binder -- not the fancy Trapper Keeper kind. If 
possible, the ones with the plastic cover into which a paper can be 
inserted are preferred. This notebook will stay in the classroom and 
will be used to house your portfolio and work in progress. 
2) 2 packages tabbed dividers 
3) 1 ultra fine-tip permanent marker 
4) 1 zippered pencil case with grommets to fit inside the three-
ring binder 
5) 1 non-spiral composition book 
6) 1 box of pencils (Ticonderoga, Mirado, or Papermate brands 
preferred)

   STUDENTS WITH LAST NAMES THAT BEGIN WITH A-L:
   1 box Kleenex & 1 package fat markers
   STUDENTS WITH LAST NAMES THAT BEGIN WITH M-Z:
   1 box paper drinking cups & 1 package skinny markers

8) OPTIONAL: portable USB drive for computer-generated 
projects. I prefer the kind that have a ring or lanyard so that it 
can be attached inside a backpack or worn around the neck.
