| All homework assignments will be highlighted in your child's planner.
Reading Logs
Students will be expected to read 30 minutes a night and complete a log to
summarize or respond to what they read. Parents are asked to monitor their
child’s reading time and sign in the provided space. Students will lose
points for that night's reading if they read less than 30 minutes, did not
provide a 2-3 sentence response, or if they are lacking a parent signature.
Reading log grades are posted on the bottom of their planner and are
factored into they final reading grade.
DROPS in the Bucket
On Mondays, students will be assigned a Math Drops in a Bucket worksheet to
complete for homework by Friday. Students may turn in this homework as it is
completed. These weekly worksheets are required of ALL 4th grade students,
even those who go to enrichment math. Feel free to assist your child with
this assignment.
Daily Assignments
On most nights, I will also provide at least 1 other type of written
homework that is due the following day. Students may be assigned a writing
worksheet, sentence work, or a math page from the practice workbook.
Fourth grade is an exciting and challenging year. Together, we will equip
your child with the tools for success!
