Dear Parents,
Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday and remembered our country's
beginnings. We have studied more about our American heritage at school and
will continue learning about our colonial days and the beginnings of our
democratic government. We will be finishing reading "George Washington's
Socks," a time travel book where several children join the troops during the
night that Washington and his men crossed the Delaware River near Trenton,
NJ. It's a Reading Counts book.
We are in the middle of 2nd grading period. Make sure your child keeps up
on homework and reading requirements. A minimum of 50 RC points is due this
quarter. Many students have gone beyond the minimum, which is great! READERS
ARE LEADERS!!
Remember to initial your child's agenda every day; you can
send me a note that way as well. Keep reading for our next Reading Log.
