Dear Parents,
We will writing our final copy of our own tall tale and illustrating our
character. This is a fun and creative writing activity. The stories and
drawings will be hanging in the hallway after the holiday. Come see!
We will also be taking the Benchmark mid-year reading test on Mon. and
Tues. Please focus and do your best, students!

Please remember to send in NEW baby items for our baby basket and/or new
toys of clothing for families in need. Thanks SO MUCH!! We will be
delivering them to Sarasota Memorial nursery on Thurs. evening. I'm sorry
that no students are allowed to come due to the H1N1 virus. Let me know if a
parent or two would like to come and take pictures.
Also, there are Toys for Tots cartons in the front hallway just waiting
for your new unwrapped toy for those in need this season.

We will get together with K buddies on Tues. for cookie decorating and
Santa letters. On Wed. a former student of mine, Nicole Riccardo, from FSU
will tell us how she learned to play several musical instruments and receive
a full music scholarship there.
On Wed. p.m. we will have a holiday party at 2:15. I will send home a list
of food items if you can help us by donating.
We will have a chance to decorate a pine cone ornament to take home and
also make a "stained glass" butterfly to hand in a window on Thurs. or Fri.
Students can bring in quiet board games on Friday p.m.

Many students have gone beyond the minimum RC points, which is great! READERS
ARE LEADERS!! Congratulations to those who have already reaced 100 points!
Remember to initial your child's agenda every day; you can
send me a note that way as well. Keep reading for our next Reading Log.
