I am extremely thankful for a wonderful group of children and their
families. I enjoy working with all of you. I wish you all a Happy

The December book report project will be a "Bag-a Book Report".
Students will read a fiction book. Using large index cards, sutdents will
write about each of the following: Title and author (1 card), characters (1
card), setting(1 card), plot (beginning, middle, end)(1-3 cards) and their
opinion of the book (would you recommend this book to a friend? why or why
not?) (1 card). Put all of your cards into a brown lunch bag that is
decorated with the tile and picture about the book. We will share our "bag-a-
books" at a class reading picnic on Friday, December 18th.
I will be scheduling optional parent teacher conferences the next few
weeks. Available times will be 8:00, 11:30, and 2:00. The sign up sheet will
be posted near our classroom door. You can also email me a day and time that
works best for you.

Phonics: ir, ur r-controlled vowels, inflections -er, -est
