Do I Use Volunteers in my Classroom?
Absolutely. While we foster a gradual release of responsibility from the parent to the child when requiring the child to complete more tasks independently, it is impossible for me to facilitate a differentiate classroom without parent assistance. Some examples of volunteer help are: test weekly fluency, remediation for small groups or individuals as needed, facilitate literature circles, clerical help, PTO parent, parties, field trips, Scholastic Book Ordering, etc. There are so many ways parents can help out.Back to Top
Do I Differentiate All Instruction?
No, this would be unreasonable to expect from any teacher. I try to differentiate in areas where I have seen the students will reap the greatest benefits, and I focus my D.I. there.Back to Top
