Math homework most nights-See planner and take home folder . Be sure and

check over the math homework and sign it each day. Please have your

child practice with flashcards or on computer math websites daily so

they know the facts instantly. They should know their

addition facts to 9+9=18 and subtraction facts up through 18-9=9. Study 7s and 2s mult. facts.

 

Reading worksheet - Mon. homework. Read parent letter on the back and

do together.

Please monitor their library book A.R.reading and READ and discuss

WITH them daily. Read a minimum of 10-15 pages daily.They should take

an A.R. test on one book each week.

Study reading vocabulary daily:
tugged- If you  tugged something, you pulled it hard
paused- If you paused, you stopped what you were doing for just a moment.
scavenger- An animal is a scavenger if it collects leftover and unwanted objects
self-sufficient- If something is self-sufficient, it takes care of his own needs.
columns- A column is a tall circular structure that holds up a building
absorb- Something  absorbs a liquid if it soaks up the liquid.
protects- When you protect something, you keep it safe.
rustling- When objects are rustling, they are moving and making soft sounds.
dissolve- When something dissolves, it mixes completely with a liquid.
particles-Tiny pieces of something are called particles.

Look for the reading test, spelling test, math test,and math facts

test on Tuesdays, also other graded papers.  Check

the keep at home pocket in the Take Home folder and empty it daily.. It has

work that we have checked or done together in class.
