About The Teacher

I have wanted to teach school since I was eight years old!!! 
 I LOVE teaching first grade because the 
students learn to love reading and learning!  
I try to treat each student like they are my own children.  
My hope for each of my students is to become lifelong learners
 and to go to college or vocational 
school to become a responsible and successful citizen in our wonderful 
country!
I have been married to my husband, Bob, for thirty-four years.  
He is retired from the U.S. Navy.  We 
have two grown children, Chris and Terah.  They both graduated 
from the University of Florida.  Go 
Gators!  Terah and her husband Jake live in Birmingham. 
 Chris and his wife Jennifer and our two 
grandchildren, Phillip and Andrew, live in Panama City Beach as Chris is an 
engineer at the Navy Base.  
We are active members of Hiland Park Baptist Church and if you ever visit 
there, look for me in the 
choir.  We also have a Jack Russell terrier name Dixie 
who thinks she's our third child!
Needless to say, I love music!  I also love gardening and 
during the summer, reading.  I also do 
crossword puzzles and sudoku.
I live in the Deerpoint area, so it takes me thirty minutes 
to drive to Tyndall but I love teaching 
here!!!
