We will be assessed on the story, grammar, vocabulary, and high-frequency 
words every other Friday. I feel like we need more practice on these skills.

Vocabulary:
Students do not have to know how to spell these words. 
They need to know what they mean and how to use them in a sentence. 

Brisk-quickly and lively such as in a brisk walk
Strutted-to walk like you own the world
Gobbled-to eat quickly and gulp food
Paced-to have walked back and forth in a small area
Request-to ask for something
Negotiate-talk and offer to give up one thing in exchange for another
Compromise-each side in an argument gives up of what it wants
Improve-make something better
