I have been working in the Walton County School District for 13 years. During these many years I have been a paraprofessional serving grades Pre-K-5th grade, and have taught VPK and first grade. I absolutely LOVE what I do! I received my Associate of Arts Degree from Okaloosa-Walton Community College and my Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Phoenix.
I grew up in a neighboring county (Holmes) in a little town called Ponce de Leon. In my first year of college I moved to Freeport where I have lived ever since. I have three children. My oldest daughter, Haley attends Freeport High School. My middle child Rylee is in the 5th grade at ECMS and my son, Carter is in the 2nd grade here at VRB.
Mission For The Class
I believe that every child is unique and different in his/her own "special" way. I hope to encourage my students this year to become excited about learning in a fun, loving, and safe environment. I have high expectations for my students and believe in working hard to achieve a goal. I hope to encourage great readers, writers, mathematicians, scientists, and even future historians. I believe that when the teacher, student, and parents work together, a child will succeed in his/her education.
