About The Teacher
I am so happy to be your fourth grade teachers this year. I absolutely love to teach and I am excited to get to know each one of you. I am married to a wonderful man named David. He is a minister at a local church. We have two beautiful daughters, McKenzie (10th grade) and Madison (4th grade), who can be seen in "Miller's Gallery" page. McKenzie goes to Venice High School and Madison is a student here at Venice Elementary. We also have a dog named Dooney. I enjoy going to the beach, teaching both school and church school, and spending time with my family (in the sun especially). I look forward to an exciting year filled with great learning experiences for us all!

Mission
Our class is more than just a fourth grade classroom. We call ourselves a "Classroom Family" and that is just what we are. We make decisions on what is best for the whole family instead of one or two members. We love and respect each other for who we are, complete with our differences and all. Our classroom environment is one of trust, safety, and love, and acceptance. We work hard to build each other up daily by praising our successes and understanding our mistakes. We are a CLASSROOM FAMILY! Our overall theme for the year is "Acceptance and Diversity". We will learn how to appreciate our similiarities and celebrate our differences. We will work together for the good of our family. When you walk through the doors of our class, you will leave "ME" and become "WE". I look forward to guiding you in that journey this school year.
