International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme

Williams is a total magnet program, meaning everyone enrolled at Williams participates in our magnet program.

Enrollment is based on a lottery system in which interested students apply and must be chosen through an electronic lottery process conducted by the district Choice Office.

As an IB accredited Middle Years Programme, we support the mission of the International Baccalaureate Organization to "develop inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people who help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect," by challenging and preparing our students to successfully participate in a global community of scholars.

The MYP (Middle Years Programme) includes Learner Profiles, which are personal attributes that are infused into our curriculum at Williams. These values enable students to strive to become international-minded students and life-long learners.

In addition to the Florida Sunshine State Standards, students at Williams Middle Magnet School are engaged in the IB MYP (Middle Years Programme) aims and objectives.  Students work to become holistic learners who are interculturally aware and who are successful communicators
Five MYP "Areas of Interaction" help students to connect their subject content to the real world.
