Dear Parents,
I am delighted to have had the opportunity to take over your child's
first grade class! We have all settled into the routine quite nicely. I
feel I have gotten to know their personalities and they; mine.
We have just finished our multi-cultural studies week. Our class
represented the country of Italy. We talked about food, customs, cities and
we even listened to opera.
We have just started our guided reading groups and centers. We are busy
with our writing skills, math facts, science and social studies. These areas
of education are of utmost importance although we are also a class where
everyday manners and courtesy are continually emphasized.
