There's always a lot going on at Cypress Woods! Please take a moment to read the following
Newsflash items for this month and then navigate around the website for more information.
1) Two great newsletters available on-line!
Please check out the new 'Soaring Eagle' newsletter created by our own CWE staff! Together with
the newly designed 'Eagle Express' PTA newsletter - we've got you covered! To access both
newsletters, please click the appropriate icon on the home page. The 'Eagle Express' newsletter
is also sent home with your student every 2 weeks.
website tip: You can always access the school website directly from the pta website and visa
versa. From this PTA website, just click the 'school-house' icon on the top right of
the home page...from the pcsb CWE website, just click the pta icon on the side bar.
2) Help your Child. Get involved.
We invite all PTA members to come to our monthly pta meetings! Please come and hear what is
going on at CWE. If you would like to share some information or an idea at the meetings, please
contact our VP of Communications; Beverly Reeves @ pebs1989@yahoo.com or 934-1071. Beverly will
arrange to place you on the agenda...we welcome your input!! Come and be a part of what's
happening at your childrens' school! Please check the 'Calendar' for dates/times of the meetings.
3) New Reflections Program!
Encourage your child to participate in Reflections this year by creating an original work of art
based on the Florida PTA's 2008-2009 Reflections theme....“WOW! For more information click
on "Reflections 2008/09 "WOW!".
4) Parent/Son Event! Town of Citizenship Roundup!
The Special Events Committee wants you to gather your buckaroos and save the date of November 7,
2008, for a special western night for parents and sons. Get ready to kick up your heels and
dance the night away! If you have any questions or would like to help with this event, please
contact Summer McParland at 424-1373.
5) Keep those box tops & labels coming!!
Please continue to send in your Box Tops for Education, Campbell's soup labels and Tyson Project
A+ labels!

23 Thursday Chick-Fil-A "Spirit Day" 20% to CWE from 6:30am-10pm
