Builders Club is open to any middle school student who wants to join. Each club and school principal has the latitude to set conditions for membership, so it varies from club to club. Generally, any student who is interested in performing community service may join Builders Club. Not all middle schools have a Builders Club, though. Each Builders Club is co-sponsored by a Kiwanis club and the middle school.

In addition to a Kiwanis club, a Builders Club may be co-sponsored by a Key Club or a Circle K club. If the nearest high school has a Key Club or a local college has a Circle K club, you have a great resource for starting a club and recruiting members.
