What is the best way to achieve a high grade-point average in your class?

Attendance is the key to success in any classroom, but
particularly in
mine. Many of the activities are "student-centered",
meaning if you are not
here to participate, you cannot earn the points. Of course, if
you are ill,
I will work with you in every way possible to make sure that you
are
successful.

May I call you at home if I need help?

Of course you can, and so can your parents. I prefer not to
receive phone
calls after 9:00 p.m. in the evening, but if it is an emergency I
promise
not to shout at you! You may also reach me through the email
contact on
this website. My telephone numbers are as follows:
home-850-271-4076,cell-850-814-6001, and school: 850-265-9887

What is a dual-enrollment class?

A class in which you earn both your high school credit and
college semester
hours at the same time. You may earn 3 hours of English credit
by taking my
ENC1101 Senior English class, 3 hours of credit by taking my ENC
1102
class,
 and 3 hours of
performing
fine arts credit by taking either drama or stagecraft. The drama
and
stagecraft classes earn 1 hour of credit per semester; three
semesters earn
a full 3 hours which is the requirement for any major at most
universities.
Dual-enrollment classes are free of charge, and many students are
able to
earn an equivalent to the freshman year in college by the time
they graduate
from high school!
