"Learning to take resposibility for myself" is the main theme for your fourth grade student. He/she will hear it many times from their teachers, guidance counselor, and administrators during this year. Fourth grade is the year that they also begin to learn new things about themselves through their guidance lessons. Such things as: what is my learning style, what kind of communicator am I, being able to describe their personality, and how to resist peer pressure. You will see your students grow in many ways this year that will surprise and please you. The essential questions that are covered in fourth grade are:

• What is peer pressure?
