My name is Mrs. Angie Allison. I am excited to be your child's teacher this
year. I look so forward to the experiences that we will share and the
learning that will occur over the next nine months. I have been an early
childhood educator for 23 years. During that time, I have had the wonderful
experience of teaching in a variety of situations. I have taught
kindergarten, first grade and preschool children with special needs.
I received my Bachelor of Science degree from Mississippi State University
and completed my Child Life(Play therapy for hospitalized children)
internship at Vanderbilt Children's Hospital in Nashville, TN. I also have
experience as Director of Infant Stimulation from the Cherokee County
Department of Mental Retardation, Gaffney, SC. In this position, I developed
the educational program for mentally/physically disabled children ages birth
to five. I received National Board Certification in 2004 from the National
Board of Professional Teaching Standards and a Master of Education from
Kennesaw State University in 2006.I received an Educational Specialist
degree
in Educational Administration and Supervision from Lincoln Memorial
University in 2008.
I am married and have two wonderful children. William is a sixth grader at
Simpson Middle and Caroline attends Sprayberry High.
It has been a pleasure to teach at Addison for eight years.
