Next major assessment will be January 25. Students will complete a Think-Tac-
Toe in class on Monday, January 25 and work on it at home the rest of the
time. The assessment will be due Monday, February 1.
Standards for unit 5- Indian Removal are below.
SS8H5: The students will explain significant factors that affected the
development of Georgia as part of the growth of the United States
between 1789 and 1840.
d. Analyze the events that led to the removal of the Creeks and
Cherokees including the roles of Alexander McGillvray, William McIntosh,
Sequoyah, John Ross, Dahlonega Gold Rush, Worchester v. Georgia, Andrew
Jackson, Andrew Marshall, and the Trail of Tears.
