AR Information

Students will be taking MH tests (tests from Reading stories) in the lab each week. These tests are included as 20% of their reading grade. Fifth grade is required to have 18 AR points at the end of each grading period. A breakdown of the point system is outlined in your 5th Grade Handbook.

If you would like to access information for your child regarding their AR progress, please go to http://hosted50.renlearn.com/58131. Britt David Millionaire Program

This program is designed to help students go to the next level in reading. Students must read a total of 25 books. The new Georgia Performance Standards ELA5R2 states the student consistently reads at least twenty-five books or book equivalents (approximately 1,000,000 words) each year. The materials should include traditional and contemporary literature (both fiction and non-fiction) as well as magazines, newspapers, textbooks, and electronic material. Such reading should represent a diverse collection of material from at least three different literary forms and from at least five different writers.
