Need to Know?!

TUESDAY OCTOBER 7, 2008

Greetings Bulldogs!!!

The Social Science Fair Parent Meeting was very informative. For those of you that could not
make it, don't worry... your son/daughter will bring their packet of information home with
them. Deadlines for certain portions of the project have been established and are listed in the
packet. Please be sure to read over them. We want ALL of the students to receive full credit
on this assignment.

PTA Raffle Tickets:
The raffle ticket sale is still going on. This is the only fundraiser that BDMA will have, so
we would like for all to support. If you do not wish to sell raffle tickets, but would like to
make a charitable donation, that is fine. So far, the following students have sold tickets:
Ja'Vone
Kayla
Monil
Anjali
Briana
Naeisha
If I have overlooked someone, please, please let me know so I can post them on our class
website. I want them to be recognized for helping our class! To show my gratitude, I will be
giving them a homework pass that can be used in my classroom. ALL students who sell raffle
tickets will receive this prize. The person who sells the most raffle tickets will get a
Bruster's Icecream Gift Certificate and a movie pass!!!! LET'S SHOW OUR SUPPORT FOR BDMA!!!

Helpful Reminders:

WHEN YOUR CHILD IS SICK:
The nurse is here from 10-2pm. If your child is ill prior to leaving home, please make every
attempt to determine the possible cause of the problem and administer medication if needed. If
medication needs to be given at school, please take the time to come into the school and
complete a medication form to give us authorization to administer the medication. We will do
what is needed for your child, but it helps when we work together!

TRANSPORTATION HOME:
When and if the way your child goes home changes from the norm, please either send a written
note or an email. If emailing, please title the subject line with your child's name and the
words TRANSPORTATION HOME. If a note is not received, your child will go home the same way as
they have before.

LUNCH MONEY:
Please make sure to place your child's money in an envelope with their name on the outside of
the envelope. This makes it a lot easier for the cafeteria to clearly identify who the money
belongs to. If you are sending money for 2 children who are in different classes, please
specify who the money is for and how much should be placed in their account.

HOMEWORK:
Please check homework for my class and Mrs. Brown's class daily. Students should be writing
down their homework in their planners. Their planners are in their DOG (Daily Organizational
Guide) Books.
