About The Teacher
My name is Dana Thompson and it is a joy to be your child's fifth grade teacher this year. This is my second year of teaching. I attended Georgia Southern University for several years and eventually received a Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood Education from Columubus State University and have my Reading Endorsement. I also obtained my graduate degree in Early Childhood Education from CSU in December 2007. I teach Math and Social Studies. Prior to working for MCSD, I worked for AFLAC and then for American General as an insurance agent. I am married with 3 awesome boys. My wonderful husband is from Savannah, Georgia and I am an "Army brat". My parents still reside in Columbus, Georgia.
