Announcements

I want to wish each and every one of you a happy, safe, and relaxing holiday.
Enjoy the time with the kids, love them, and be thankful! I will see you all
in 2010. Merry Christmas!

I sent this note home with the students today...see below:

Wonderful parents…I hate to do this to you all…I mentioned to the kids about
a week ago to bring in a yard of fabric. I have had a couple of students
bring it in. This will be used on Thursday to make rag wreaths in class.
You can use an old sheet, old t-shirts or buy fabric. I apologize for not
sending this earlier. Also don’t forget about our “Measurement
Celebration”. Each student is asked to bring in a recipe that was prepared
by you and them. Make sure there is enough for 25 students plus me :) This
is the food that we will enjoy for our Christmas party. They also need to
provide a copy of the recipe. I am doing edible crafts on Wednesday. We
will be doing graham cracker reindeer and sugar cone Christmas trees. I will
be providing the materials for these activities. If someone would like to
send some Capri Sun or juice boxes that would be fabulous. We could use them
for out edible craft day and our “Measurement Celebration”. You are all so
wonderful and I couldn’t do all of this without you. I understand money is
tight and we are strapped like crazy, but I do want you all to know how
grateful I am to have each and every one of you!!!! Together, we are able to
give our children the best education possible. Don’t forget that the kids
can wear their pj’s on Friday (free of charge) and we will be enjoying “The
Polar Express”. A big thank you to Ms. Collins for making it fun!!!! Have a
Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Happy New Year, Happy Kwanza…whatever!!!!
Just enjoy the holidays and be thankful for all we have! We are all so
blessed!
Mrs. Parkerson :)
