Christmas is right around the corner! The week before Christmas break, I
always like to do craft stations. I have purchased the pillow and ornament
craft. They have been delievered, and I can tell will both be adorable! The
kids have told me that some of you are having trouble finding material for
the wreath. I haven't had any turned in yet, so I am going to use the money
collected to purchase the material for the wreath and an edible craft. I
still have 8 students who need to bring in money in order for me to purchase
the needed items. I'm still asking for 4 packs of the jute wire, from the
floral section at any craft center. Thank you in advance for helping with
this fun craft party! We will be doing the crafts the afternoon of the 16th.
I am asking that all money be turned in by Friday, Dec. 11th, in order for me
to make the needed purchases in time for the party. We will do craft stations
on Wednesday afternoon, a snack party on Thursday afternoon for our Christmas
party, and a movie with popcorn on Friday afternoon for our AR celebration
(please send in microwave popcorn). For the snack party on Thursday morning,
I will send home a sign up sheet for paper products, drinks, and food. Please
let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks again to Mrs. Albert, Ashton's stepmom, for volunteering to be the
room representative for the fall festival. She did an sweome job on the
basket! We are now in need of a new room representative for the second half
of the year. Please let me know if you are able to help! This is a very
important job for the running of the classroom! Please consider and let me
know if you're able to help. Thank you in advance!
General Reminders:
AR Requirements: This year, we will be setting personal point goals for each
student based on their own ZPD. We will be taking our first STAR test to
determine your child's ZPD in the first weeks of school. All students are
required to maintain an average of 85% regardless of their point goal.
If you would like access to your child’s AR information and the AR Quiz list
please go to the following site:
http://hosted203.renlearn.com/57945/homeconnect/login.aspx
Their login is the 10-digit number they use to login at school. It is the
school ID that will follow them throughout their school careers, so I've
asked them all to memorize them. I have sent this number home on a notecard
with each student. Their password is "INITPASS," just like at school as
well.
Enter as a parent and then click on Request Parent/Guardian Access. Fill
out the information requested. You can even get e-mail notification when your
child takes a test!
