About The Teacher

I have been teaching kindergarten at Britt David for 7 years.  I have a 
Bachelor Degree from Columbus State University and a Masters Degree 
from Troy State University in Early Childhood Education. I am going back to 
school this year to begin work on my Specialist Degree in Administration at 
Troy State. 

I have been married to Jeff for 20 years! He is a real estate appraiser. I 
also have two daughters who attend Columbus High School. My pets are two big 
golden retrievers named Patches and Kendall.  Our class pet Ricardo is a 
guinea pig and lives with me during the summer. Students may adopt Ricardo 
on week-ends during the school year.  

I enjoy reading, decorating, and traveling.

Mrs. Thornton is my paraprofessional. She is married and lives out in the 
country with a big pond to fish in. She likes to eat her husband's good 
cooking and never gains any weight!!!! (Lucky gal!)
