I have been teaching kindergarten at Britt David for 9 years. I have a
Bachelor's Degree from Columbus State University and a Master's Degree
from Troy State University in Early Childhood Education. This is my third
career (won't tell you my age though). I started out in retail (wanted to be
department store buyer and travel to New York alot), then went on to banking
(wanted to be a big corporate executive) and then had my own children and
found my dream job - the best job in the world hanging out with super kids
all day long!! I am blessed!!!
My husband is Jeff and I have two daughters Lindsey and Jenna. Lindsey will
be a senior and Jenna will be a junior at Columbus High School. (If I seem
crazy at times it is because I have 2 teen-agers.) I have a golden retriever
named Patches who weighs 100 pounds - BIG DOG!!. Our class pet Ricardo
is a guinea pig and lives with me during the summer. He squeaks for carrots
all day!! Students may adopt Ricardo on week-ends during the school year.
I enjoy reading, working in the yard with my flowers, and going to the beach!
Mrs. Thornton is my paraprofessional. She is married to Jesse and lives out
in the country with a big pond to fish in. She likes to eat her husband's
good cooking and never gains any weight!!!! (Lucky gal!) I am so blessed to
work with such a sweet person!
