Accelerated Reader Information
1. Each student must earn at least 9 AR points each 9weeks period.
2. Thirty minutes each day is dedicated to AR. Students may go to the
library, take AR tests, and read silently.
4. Accelerated Reader is an important part of our reading program.
Please encourage your child to read at home.
5. Two .05 point books will count as 1 chapter book toward millionaire. one
point books will count as one chapter book.
Nonfiction Readers
Students may read nonfiction books two grades below their STAR reading
level. They must pass the AR test with an 80% or better to be given credit.
