Homework

Homework is posted on my board and Mrs. Applegate's board each day.  It is 
the responsibility of the student to write it down in his/her planner.  
Please check your child's planner each night to ensure it is being used.  
This is the best way to help your child at home.  


HOMEWORK:
Homework is essential.   It reinforces the skills taught at school and 
practiced in the classroom.   Your child will most likely have homework 
every night, but should not take more than 45 minutes or so to do. Penalties 
are incurred for not doing homework in a timely manner. 

Graded Homework:
Some homework will be graded.  Late work can be made up with a 10 point per 
day penalty, up to 3 days.  After three days, the work will not be accepted.

Ungraded Homework:
At other times, I will simply go over and check for completion.  


All homework is important. A student who does not have his homework, will 
not participate in A&W for that week.  A behavior report will be written 
during A&W and loss of 2 conduct points will occur.  Parents will be 
notified if the student is habitually late in turning in assignments.


Late Work Due To Absences: 
Late work due to an excused absence can be made up within 3 days without 
penalty.  After 3 days, make-up work cannot be turned in.  It is the 
responsibility of the student to get all assignments that he/she has missed 
while absent.  Make-up work due to unexcused absences is at the discretion 
of the teacher.  Missing work due to being suspended cannot be made up.
