WELCOME TO OUR SECOND GRADE CLASS!

This is the view as you enter our 
2nd grade classroom door.  

This is our special reading 
area.  The bookshelf holds our 
collection of chapter book series 
and books by some of our favorite 
authors.  

Students can sit on the sofa 
under the palm tree and enjoy a 
good book!

This is another comfortable spot 
to enjoy a good book!  The shelf 
holds some of our magazines.

These are our student cubbies.  
Each student has a place for 
their textbooks and other 
belongings.  Our LITERACY CENTERS 
are in baskets on top of the 
cubbies.

These shelves hold our fiction 
and non-fiction books.  The books 
are sorted alphabetically and 
have stickers on them to help the 
students put them back in the 
correct basket.  They are also 
coded for Accelerated Reader.  

These shelves also hold our MATH 
CENTERS.

This is the other end of our 
fiction and non-fiction 
bookshelves and our MATH CENTERS.

These are our students 
computers.  We currently have 5 
for student use and 1 teacher 
computer.  We also visit the 
school's computer lab each week.
