During the month of December, our theme in 5th Grade will be Love.
God loved us, so He sent us a special gift in the Person of His Son, Jesus
Christ. Jesus came and dwelt among us, so that we could really see what God
is like and what a man controlled by God would look like. He has given His
love to us and wants us to pass that love along to others as we come into
contact with them in our lives. We will be reading Scriptures and making an
Advent Tree during our Bible class. The scriptures will tell us about Jesus
and the many different names that the Bible gives to Him. We will be
memorizing three of these scriptures. In Reading we will read the Nativity
story from the Bible and create a timeline of those events. We will also be
reading a traditional Christmas story, "The Christmas Guest", which
beautifully illustrates the love that Christ wants us to give to others and
how in turn we are showing our love for Him when we do so. We will end the
month with a party on December 18th.
"MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL...."
