Is homework assigned every night?

You can expect your student to have homework every night except for Friday 
nights, uncless necessary.

How long should it take to complete Math HW?

As long as your student listens in class, asks questions when he/she does 
not understand, copies the examples in class, takes good notes, and uses 
class time wisely, the homework should not take any longer than 20 minutes 
per night for the average student.

How far in advance will tests be announced?

Tests will be announced at least 5 days in advance.

What Math materials should be taken home daily?

Students should take both binders home, math workbooks and textbooks are to 
remain at home, and the Columbia Express (agenda) should all be taken home 
daily.

How is homework graded?

Mainly, I just check for effort.  But once every two weeks, homework is 
collected and taken as a HW quiz grade.

What is your no heading/no name policy?

Typically I will go through the assignments and identify the no name 
papers.  There is a penalty: 1/2 points deducted off the grade.  On HW 
assignments, if papers are not headed properly no credit will be given.

When can students come in for extra help?

Students can sign up for tutoring on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7:00 A.M. If 
additional assistance is needed, I will make arrangements to meet with 
him/her during connections.

Can my child do corrections on assignments?

Corrections can be done on tests that are not multiple choice, quizzes, and 
classwork assignments.  All corrections must have a parent signature, the 
corrections must be done on a separate sheet of paper (attach to the back of 
the original assignment) and turned in the following school day.
