| - Math textbooks will be issued on Thursday, August 16th. All math
textbooks are to remain at home. Please make sure that all books are
covered.
- Official Math notebok CHK. on Thursday, August 21th. The following items
must be in the Math section:
1) Tabs labeled & in correct order:
Warm-Ups, Notes, Graded Papers, Homework, & Vocab/Misc..
2) Notebook paper in appropriate sections
3) Graph Paper in vocab/misc. section.
4) Index cards inside plastic bag or pencil pouch.
Lockers will be given out on Wednesday, August 13th. Some students are not
following directions when it comes opening the lockers and leaving classroom
supplies/work in the lockers. We (6th grade teachers) do realize that the
whole concept of Middle School is new to our 6th graders and we have been
lenient this week in helping the students adjust. However, students will
start receiving tardies next week (beginning Monday, 8/18/08) if they
report to class late. Please read the agenda in reference to tardies and
classroom infractions and corresponding consequences.
- Students will have a classroom procedures quiz on Thursday, August 21st.
- Also Many students are struggling with the Multiplication tables. I will
be sending home practice worksheets with those students that score 73% and
below after the 2nd attempt (Thursday, 20). Parents, it is imparitive that
you drill/work with your child to help him/her to become fluent in
recalling multiplication facts. If I can assist you or your child in any
way, please contact me with your questions, suggustions, or concerns.
