Hello! Welcome to my classroom and sixth grade. This letter is intended to
fill you in on some of the procedures, workings, happenings, rules,
curriculum and missions within my classroom. It will also give you a little
background about myself.
I received my BA from Augusta State University December 1999 and my Masters
in Education in December 2004. I began teaching at the beginning of the 2000-
2001 school year as a 5th grade teacher in Richmond County. In 2001 I came
to Columbia Middle to teach Language Arts and Social Studies and I've been
here ever since.
Here at Columbia Middle, I've helped sponsor activities or participated in
the following activities at CMS: CMS Step team, Six Flags Math and Science
Day, boys and girls basketballl team statistician, after school program,
etc.
I enjoy bowling, aerobics, traveling, going to amusement parks, playing
basketball, and most activities that are competitive.
My mission and goal is to help my students become life-long, active learners
in all aspects of their lives. I want to motivate students to enjoy
learning by creating a fun and relaxing classroom atmosphere. I hope to
help students become the best person they can be by helping them to become
responsible, self-disciplined people and good citizens of the community.
OK, enough about me. Here's the important information that you should be
aware of regarding the upcoming school year.

newsletters, school news, and more. If you have access to the Internet,
this page is the place to go to get information about our math classroom and
math-related web sites. All pertinent letters sent home from my classroom
