 November: Using Mental images when reading, Pronouns, Holiday writing, Fraction and Place Value, Thomas Jefferson, and Nutrition.

December: Verbs, Informational Writing and letters to Santa, Time, Light and Shadows and Holidays Around the World.

January:   Literary elements, Verbs and Adjectives, Persuasive writing, money, Lewis and Clark, and Sounds.

February: Book Clubs!, Adjectives, Persuasive Writing, Computation of larger numbers, Magnets, President's Day.

 March:  Inferences in reading, Asking questions about reading, Commas, Persuasive writing, research and writing, Measurement, Theodore Roosevelt, and Plants.

 April and May: Conventions of Non-fiction, Synthesizing Information, Writing in response to literature, Problem Solving, George Washington Carver, Animals, American Folktales, Personal Finance, and Summer Safety.
