I would like to take this time to introduce myself to you. I am a
Georgia
native as I was born here and have lived here my entire life. I graduated
from Georgia Southern University in 1998 with a bachelors degree in Early
Childhood Education. I began teaching in Fayette County at Kedron
Elementary in August of 1998. I remained at Kedron Elementary, teaching 3rd
and 4th grades until August of 2003, when I made the move to Crabapple Lane
Elementary. I began my graduate work with the University of Georgia in
January 2002, and graduated with a Masters degree in Educational Leadership
in May of 2003.
I was married to my husband Bryan in June of 1999. Bryan works for
Fayette County as the cartographer using GPS to draw maps of land plots,
subdivisions, etc. In his spare time, he enjoys playing the bagpipes as
part of the Atlanta Pipe Band, riding his bike long distances, and hanging
out with the kids. In 2001 our son Brayden was born. Brayden has brought
us much joy and we have learned more about trains then I ever wanted to
know, as they are his passion. He is a 2nd grade student here at Crabapple
and we are very proud of him! In March of 2005, Anna Grace joined our
family. As she is 3 years old now, we have quite a few conversations about
princesses and tea parties. She adores her big brother and is the perfect
final addition to our family!
As I am a graduate of Fayette County schools myself, I feel that it
is a great honor to be teaching in one of the best school systems in the
state. I am blessed to be a teacher for your children and am happy to be
working with you as a team to reach the goals you have set for your child.
Please know that my goal for each and every child in this classroom is to
provide them with a positive and loving experience in first grade and to
guide them as they continue to grow and learn throughout the year. I know
that together we can make that happen and have a great time doing it!
