    • The Crawford County School System will provide for its students an educational program of excellence. Through a variety of learning experiences, students will develop competencies that are necessary to become productive citizens in an ever-changing society.

  • New graduation rule
    • 23 units required for graduation for this year’s freshman class
    • One diploma track
    • 10th-12th graders remain under the old graduation requirements
  • Seven-period day
    • To increase chances for students to graduate on time
    • Lowers class sizes – English-16; Math-19; Science-19; Social Studies-22
    • Begin earlier (8:00) and dismiss later (3:15) than last year
  • Teachers-As-Advisors
    • Advisors meet with advisees every other Friday for 15 minutes
    • Advisors present material on career planning, applying for college, stress management, test-taking strategies, anger management, interview skills, resume writing, etc.
    • Advisors will follow their advisees until graduation
    • Advisors will be responsible for scheduling
  • AYP
    • Failed to meet AYP in 2007-08
    • Met AMO for Enhanced Math and Enhanced Language Arts
    • Did not meet AMO for graduation rate
    • DNM, not NI – Must meet graduation rate this year, or NI
  • School Improvement Plan - Focused on weaknesses from previous year
    • Graduation rate
      • 55.9% in 2008 – AMO was 70%

      • Increase the percentage of AP test scores 3 or higher from 24% to 33%
