Welcome to Kindergarten!

 Dear Parents,

I am very excited about our upcoming year!

Your child will learn SO MUCH

this year.  It is important to begin on the right foot with a routine.

Your child relies on YOU to assist them.  I encourage these things to help your child be confident and independent:  (a) a regular time daily to go over the things we learn in class (b)  a regular bedtime, no later than 8:30 PM.  (c) have uniforms ready to go and teach your child to put their folder back into their backpacks immediately after using them and place backpacks and shoes in their "spot" for the next morning.  These routines will lessen your stress at the beginning of each day and help ensure that the child get to school on time.  Being tardy not only upsets the child, it upsets our school routine for all the other students.  Being tardy also results in missing special classes that are scheduled immediately after the morning announcements.

Getting off to rocky start in the school year can make your child fall behind and remain behind all year.  Believe it or not, I can predict by the first report card which children are likely to be held back in kindergarten.  Much of this depends on YOU, the parent, and your commitment to your child's education.  Harsh.....   but true : (

I am ALWAYS available to assist you in any way that I can.  TOGETHER, we can ensure that your child will enjoy a very successful year.
