My name is Kathleen Powell. I am thrilled about being a part of the Downtown
Magnet Academy family! Prior to coming to Downtown I taught kindergarten for
11 years at Dimon Magnet Academy. I look forward to getting to know each of
you as we journey through kindergarten.
On a personal note: I have been married to Mark Powell for 27 years and have
two wonderful sons. Andy is married to Allison and they live in Indio,
California. Robert lives in North carolina where he works for Chatham County
Family Violence and Rape Crisis Services.
