I obtained my Bachelor of Arts in English, Masters of English Education, and
Education Specialist in Teaching and Learning at Augusta State
University. I am also certified to teach gifted and advanced placement
English classes. I have taught both technical, college preparatory, and
honors level classes for 9th grade English and American literature. Also, I
have taught public speaking and have coordinated the Senior Project.
Currently, I am teaching 9th grade gifted English, 9th grade English, and
public speaking. Also, I am currently the Department Chair and
Instructional Coach for the English Department.
I am dedicated to student learning and recognize that all students have
different abilities; therefore, instruction will target those differences
allowing all students to excel. I have high learning expectations and
expect students to have the same expectations. I love teaching and helping
students to achieve their highest potential.
