Mrs. Candy Ward just recently returned from her dream vacation...eight days
on an Alaskan Cruise aboard the ms Westerdam. She is excited to share the
details of the trip with anyone who will listen! She fell inlove with the
state of Alaska! Just ask and she will be glad to share her 700+ pictures
that she made while there! :)
Mrs. Ward has been a teacher and library media specialist for 23 years. She
began her teaching career at J.D. Davis Elementary in Columbus, GA in 1984.
She served in a school in Alabama for 13 years, and is excited
about being back in the Muscogee County School district. Mrs. Ward received
her undergraduate and graduate degrees from Auburn University in Auburn,
Alabama. She loves her Auburn Tigers and during football season is
frequently heard yelling "War Eagle" at the Auburn football games!
Mrs. Ward has been married to Jeff Ward for 25 years. They have two
children. Jeffrey is 23 and recently graduated from the University of
Georgia. Alissa is 20 and recently graduated from the John Paul Mitchell
School in Atlanta. Mrs. Ward loves to spend time with her family and
particularly cherishes their family fishing trip memories! Dogs are her
favorite pet. She has two dogs, a black lab named Coby and a black Shih-poo
named Bailey. She also enjoys spending time at their second home in Kennesaw,
Georgia. It is here that she can spend lots of time shopping which is one of
her favorite things to do!
Mrs. Ward is passionate about learning and helping others reach their
learning goals. Her number one priority is to encourage her students to
become life-long learners. Mrs. Ward's mission and vision is the same as
