When do weekly papers go home?

Weekly papers go home every Friday. Please keep all papers at 
home. Sign and return the folder the next day.

What is the agenda for?

The agenda is used as a communication tool between parent and 
teacher. Also, it teaches your child responsibility by getting it 
signed daily. Please check the agenda daily to ensure your child 
completes all assignments.

How does my child become a millionaire?

Fifth graders must read 25 books in their reading range to be a 
Millionaire.Every 150 pages equals 1 book towards the goal of 25.
Standard:ELA5R2 The student consistently reads at least twenty-
five books or book equivalents (approximately 1,000,000 words) 
each year. The materials should include traditional and 
contemporary literature (both fiction and non-fiction) as well as 
magazines, newspapers, textbooks, and electronic material. Such 
reading should represent a diverse collection of material from at 
least three different literary forms and from at least five 
different writers.

How much homework will my child have each night?

For 5th grade, children should have approximately 50 minutes of 
written homework. Minimum work will be given on Wednesday nights. 
I am respectful of those who go to church on that night.
