Parents and students,
Thanks to all who've sent in your field trip money! If you haven't turned it
in yet, please get it in to me ASAP. Also, turn in those signed progress
report jackets.
Remember to bring in your Valentine's cards on Wednesday. No names please!
I really missed all my students last week. I was away at the Cornerstone
Winter Conference learning lots of new strategies.
Remember, this is a short week. No school on Thurs., Fri., or next Mon.
Unfortunately, I will not be in on Monday. My daughter is very sick. I am
sorry I will miss you and will get back as soon as she is better.

Just in case you missed it! Here's the info about field trip:
A letter went home about our field trip to the Springer Opera House for the
presentation of "James and the Giant Peach" on March 25th. We are asking you
to send $6.00 for your child to attend. Please look for the letter in your
child's binder for further info and instructions.
We will also be taking a field trip to the Planetarium on Thursday, February
18th. It is a "cool" field trip. No money will be collected for this trip.
Always remember:
Students need to continue to learn their multiplication facts. We have moved
on from elapsed time to geometry. When we get to division, the students will
not be able to do it without knowing their mult. facts. If your child has
surpassed the 12's they will take a mixed fact drill test until we begin
division. Their drills will then be on division facts.
Also, remember to wear tennis shoes on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday for
P.E.
