I live in McDonough with my husband. He teaches Science at Ola High School. We
have two children and three yorkshire terriers. Brett graduated from UGA and
Callie graduated from Georgia College last spring. I attended the University
of Alabama. I completed my Master's Degree at Walden University. I have taught
for more than twenty years in fourth, fifth and seventh grades. I have always
enjoyed my students.
I love the beach, sun, and sailing in Panama City and Seagrove Florida. I go
often and love to travel to other places also. I have traveled to London,
Paris, Vancouver, Canada and The Cayman Islands. Another favorite place we
love to go is Park City, Utah where my family and I snow ski.
Reading, relaxing, sailing, swimming, and playing with my yorkies are my
favorite pastimes.
My mission is to empower students to be active life long learners in all
aspects of their lives and encourage curiosity, imagination, and creativity.
I will help them develop self-discipline, responsibility, and good
citizenship. I hope to teach them that they have the power to unlock answers
to life. Each day I want them to experience that "I can do it" attitude with
the tools and capabilities they possess. I want to guide all students toward
the knowledge to unlock the dreams of their future.
