I am a native of Marietta, and went to East Side as a child! (Yes, this
is a really old school!) I also attended East Cobb Middle School and
Wheeler High School.
I attended Kennesaw State when it was a junior college for two years. I
then married my high school sweetheart, and we have been married for 34
years. I have two married daughters: Christy and Melissa, and four
grandchildren: Camden, Carter, Emma, and Jack.
I worked at East Side as a paraprofessional for 14 years before returning
to Kennesaw State College and Brenau University, after my children were
grown, to earn my degree in Early Childhood Education. This took me six
years of going to school at night after working at East Side all day! This
will be my 21st year to work at East Side, and this will be my 7th year
teaching first grade. So you see, you get the experience of a long time
teacher and the enthusiasm of a new teacher all in one!
I attend Mount Bethel United Methodist Church. My hobbies are reading,
boating, and singing. I am looking forward to a great year with you and
your first grader!
My mission for your child is to teach them to have a love for learning and
for them to become sucessful first grade students!
