Dear Families,
I have worked now for 2 days to "break down" the classroom. It is sad and exciting at the same time. As the k teachers gathered for a final
workday lunch with Mr. Pfund...we discussed how we already look forward to the next little group coming in in Aug! We start planning almost
immediately...we need a life!!!! Well in a way, our life is our kids.
Yours were a rare group. Pam and I hated to see them go on Fri. They were a good "mesh". It's unusual to have a group so laid back and
across the board manageable.
Thanks for all you have meant to our class as you provided ingredients, volunteer help, and goodies. We will always remember you as a great
group of families to spend 180 school days with.
Please keep "school" going as much as possible. As I said in my report card comments to many of you...kindergartners typically will regress in
the summer months off if they don't keep some information stirring in their mind. Especially the late bloomers. They will not hold the
information that has so recently become meaningful if it is not "practiced". The public library offers a "summer reading program"...journals are
a wonderful daily writing opportunity...summer bridge books practice/review the k year and look forward to next.
Have a safe and fun summer!
Thanks,
Debra and Pam
