Dear Frog Families '09-'10,
Keep in mind that your child will soon be juggling 3 folders! The take home
folder is for transporting important notes/$/paperwork only. We are working
with the children so that they understand that. Please check this folder
daily and remove any work sent home. It is very confusing to our little ones
when 'old' stuff is still in the folder and they don't know what they should
unpack in the morning.
The red folder is for the fast start reading program. Please do not use that
activity log to record books read, your required homework, etc. It is only
to record activities done on the enclosed poem. Your child need only return
this to us on Mondays.
The green folder (yet to come) is where you can record the titles of books
read to and with your child. It will be returned to us daily and we read
with the child the next day one on one! If you have already started
recording books read with and to your child you can just attach your list to
ours when we send the log home next week.
