What type of snack should my child bring to school?

Please send a healthy snack such as fruit, cheese, etc. with your child to
school each day. Please do not send cookies, cake or candy bars. You can
also send a water bottle to school filled with water only, no fruit juices
or gatorade.

When can my child make additional purchases at lunch?

I strongly suggest that you let Friday be a 'special' treat day for any
additional purchases at lunch to help your child develop healthy eating
habits. The final decision is between you and your child but I would like
to limit these to Friday only.

A note must be sent with your child the day of the change. The teacher is

You must send a written excuse when your child returns to school. If a note

How often should my child bring home an Overnight Express book?

Your child should bring home an Overnight Express book Monday thru Thursday,
unless they are doing Accelerated Reader. Your child should read around 15-
20 minutes each night and write down the title of the book they read in
their Reading Log. Remember, we do not have Overnight Express on the
weekends but you should still be reading to your child, with your child or
your child could read independently.
