pledge card. They will need them at school on Monday morning.

Dear Parents,
Just a note to remind you of the PTA/Open House on Tuesday, August 28th. I am looking forward to
sharing with you information about the second grade curriculm and our goals for this year.
The students are doing very well with our studies thus far. We are working on strenghening our
classroom community. They are all doing a great job.

Dear Parents,
The class has had two wonderful days of school. We are off to a great start! The students have
written stories about their summer vacations, had fun reviewing the math facts and several other
activities. They are adjusting to our second grade activities very nicely.
This week the students are just getting one homework assignment per night. Next week we will start
our regular homework routine.
